Rolex makes a fine watch, they are not the greatest nor the most accurate, but they do make a good watch that is built with quality. Since Rolex is a Chronometer type movement the watch wind atomatically with your movement. If you do not weare it constantly it will stop and will need to rewound. I suggest that is you do not use wear it constantly the watch will stop and I would suggest getting a watchwinder that will rotate the watch to keep it moving.
Rolex watches also need services by Rolex themselves. I would not trust any watch repair service accept for Rolex to service your watch. The service should be every two years. they will clean and sometimes replace the Jewels. The crystal face of the watch should not scratch ever. I have an Omega and have banged it a few times and still no scratches its wonderful. My uncle has worn a Rolex for the past 35 years and he loves his watch. If you are wondering who makes the chronometer I believe it is made by the same company as Omega and Tag.
Lastly if you are planning on spending the money on this type of watch make sure you buy it from a reputable dealer. I would buy a watch that is grey market. Make sure you recieve all paper and warrenty that go with the watch. The watch should also have a serial number on it. On grey market watches the serial number is often removed.
Enjoy your new watch and keep on Saabing.
Good Luck!
Rich
