I've been to African safari with a ton of Nikon 35mm equipment. Seems to me that this camera meets your needs, at least on paper.
Don't know your interests, abilities, or bank account. Assume you've already done the eval, and this camera fits your needs.
My biggest concern is their lack of confidence at an ISO of over 200. You are going to be shooting in the morning and evening mostly, and for decent shutter speed 200 is minimum. I found myself taking lots of shots in the 200-400mm range with 35mm. Also you may lose a bit with the shutter delay common to digital.
I echo getting spare batteries with 220volt adapters. And lots of memory. I don't really know anything about this camera specifically. But from the write up, sounds flexible. Post some pics when you get back!
