durability of all the bits and pieces.
I had a 1966 Volvo 122S, that I bought many years back with at least 160K on it. It was a real tank and while it had a lot of quirks, it was great car. One of the ones I shouldn't have sold!
I had the impression it would have run forever if I had put the money and time into it.
The guy with the 2 million mile car must have incredible dedication. He's an inspiration.
But I do wonder how many modern cars, even Saabs, with all the electronics and features can last as long as even half a million miles? IMO, the old Volvo's advantage was that it was a relatively simple car. The less there is on a car, the less there is to go south.
