I live in tofutown... err, Boulder, and I have seen people stopping on on-ramps in alarming numbers lately. Particularly on the curvy ones where you spend half the time looking over your shoulder to see traffic on the highway before you get there. Then you see a car STOPPED in front of you. A big WTF here for this kind of idiotic behavior.
Does anyone know how a ticket will be written for a rear-end collision involving a stopped vehicle on an on ramp? I would assume that it would be the fault of the striking vehicle, but maybe there's some consolation that the stopped vehicle would get a violation as well?
This nation that is so obsessed with safety before freedom should examine its driving examination standards. A lot of lives and tax money would be saved if the privilege of driving required actual thought and effort to attain.
