Last summer I moved all my worldly possesions 2000 miles in the back of my 4dr C900. The landlord was hanging around while I unpacked and he was pretty impressed that I had that much stuff in that little car...and I could still see out all the windows.
A couple weeks later I was out buying furniture and the only place they weren't suprised that the boxes of ready to assemble dresser fit in the back was the Swedish furnature store...go figure. The folks at the futon store were very sure that the frame and mattress would never fit, as were the guys loading my dining table + 4 chairs. I came home with the trunk closed on each trip :)
The only thing that's required delivery so far was the full mattress/box spring, and that's mostly because I didn't really want to tie them on the roof, it was free and I didn't want to carry those up my stairs :)
