flat tire, two options, what would you do?

The slow leak in my rear tire resulted in a VERY low tire this morning. So I stopped by the gas station on my short commute to work and aired up. (In the course of doing so, I broke my tire gauge, so I had to eyeball the amount of air I was putting in...but that's a whole different problem.) Just now I peeked into our parking lot and the bugger is just about completely flat. Just what I need...
I have two immediate options. I know neither one is a particularly great idea but I'd like opinions on which one is the less stupid one.
Option one: drive about four blocks to the gas station, air back up, and drive the remaining 1.5 miles to my mechanic on a leaking but hopefully still somewhat inflated tire.
Option two: change the tire and drive on the doughnut spare. My hesitation here is that we were blessed with about a foot of snow last night, and the roads are in bad condition. I have to go up a fairly steep hill that will likely feature ice and deep snow ruts. I'm not positive that my little spare is man enough for this job in these conditions and getting stuck on that hill would be a very bad situation indeed. Plus I'm an idiot and ALWAYS forget to air up the spare when I'm getting air for the others, so it may not even be viable.
I'm leaving work in one hour...please help, what would you do? Thanks!
