ANYONE who says ANYTHING like "If we'd known you were going to tell other people we did a bad job, then we would have tried harder" is a total effing moron. That's not customer service. It's illogical, and it's insulting to you.
This is a perfect demonstration of the value of Saabnet (and letters to the editor, op-ed pages, town meetings, and any other forum in which people are invited to voice legitimate opinions). The dealer did you wrong, and treated you with disrespect and complete lack of grace. So you told other Saabers about your experience. And the dealer has the nerve to not only blame you for talking about their bad service, but also to toss in some nice sexist language there too ("You should be man enough..."). Great way to treat their customers.
The local dealer here is overpriced but reputable, and I'm devoted to my great indy mechanic and his guys. I'm so glad I don't have to put up with treatment like what you got. And thank you, by the way, for posting your experiences. It's a valuable lesson.
