If fluid is leaking on the driver's side floor it may be coolant from the heater core, which can be pretty expensive. If you get it fixed make sure they do the blower motor at the same time. Lots of good info about this on the 9K BB.
2 busted heater cores (among many other "issues") haven't stopped me from enjoying my 9Ks. And I'm no DIY-er. Most of the time I get my 9Ks fixed at a (gasp) dealer here in Boston.
Tom and Ray said it best: (1) The cheapest car to keep is almost always the one you already own. (2) The only good reason to sell is if you (or your spouse) don't like the car any more. (3) If you're going to keep it, fix everything so that you will enjoy it.
Good luck!
