I'm on the other side of this equation. I have over 400 employees who were given no restrictions on internet usage except that it should be on lunch and breaks, and no porn.
Use by time of day, hours used, types of sites visited, number of connections all suggest they are not being responsible. Therefore, after nearly two years, I'm having blocks placed on the types of sites that are abused most often.
The argument that if you're getting your work done doesn't hold water. I suspect that if you asked the people signing your checks, they could find some work that needs done instead of paying you to surf.
