I have heard some rumors, but has NG 95 production in US
been confirmed by GM? If GM had decided that Vectra and 93
will be built in Trollhättan, producing 95 in the US might
not be that big a deal. But now after moving NG 93 to Germany
producing NG 95 in US would be a shock!
I have to say that I expected that 93 production will be
moved to Germany (Russelheim plant is more capable building
the combined volume of Vectra and 93), but I was also expecting
GM to announce at the same time some news about NG 95
production in Sweden so that there would be a future for
the Trollhättan plant.
I hope I'm wrong, but I think it is delusional to think
that Cadillac production in Sweden will be more profitable
than building Saabs.
I think it's sad that now after GM finally published
93 SportCombi (two years late for no good reason)
we still have to wonder about the future of the brand.
I think GM's PR department was not able to convince me
today :)
