Seems GM is not only debating on how to replace 9-5 but IF it is to replace it. I don't think they are willing to invest the considerable sum needed to create a worthy A6 or 5 series challenger. They are buying time with the 06 facelift which will not fool many, but will help keep Trollhättan going for a while. It's obvious the only Saabs in GM's future are units derived from other platforms. (Opel/9-3,Impreza/9-2,Trailblazer/9-7,Trebecca/9-6) So I guess what they are looking for is a good partner for the next 9-5. Could be a Caddy, a Holden, or why not, an Opel again. For sure, it would be a shame to abandon that segment.
