with a much different ending. Around here, in certain neighborhoods, it is common for people to stop right in the street and talk to people they know in other cars! going the opposite way! or to other folks on the street. And it's much more common in the summer.

Usually, it's a harmless slow down to wave or yell "call me" or something, but every once in a while, these people have a whole conversation that stops traffic and everything.

My friend was behind one of these conversations and after 10-15 seconds, laid on the horn. Guy got out of his car, walked back, and with a gun sticking out of his belt, says, "You got a problem?" Needless to say, my friend backed up and took another way to where he was going. What is weird is that this happened downtown, not in the neighborhoods where people typically park and stop. And it was about 4 blocks from the state capitol building.
