Tough choice...
I'd argue that a set of Gislaved Nordfrosts on an Arc wagon are safer than the all-season tires on an AWD truck, and a few thousand bucks cheaper. My Nordfrost-shod NG900 served me well on countless ski trips in Vermont, Ontario, and Quebec.
Of course I grew up in Ontario, Canada, so what the heck do I know about driving on snow and ice (LOL).
