Mercedes makes E class cars in India but none are sold in the US. Most people know that 9-3 convertibles are made in Austria. I used to have a classic 900 (not convertible) that was made in Finland.
The current 9-3SS sedan and SportCombi is made in Sweden. Where are the parts made? Looking at mine,
China-Taiwan (not Red China/mainland): spare tire
Spain: bunch of small parts and hoses
Germany: engine (per window sticker)
Japan: automatic transmission (per window sticker on automatic cars)
I have taken apart my car very much. However, my classic 900 had parts from Norway, Belgium, France, UK, and others. Has anyone taken apart their 9-3's more and seen names of other countries?
