Perhaps you should call your insurance agent (sales agent, not claims adjuster), point out how loyal and profitable you have been with no claims for x years, and say that you want them to fight like hell on this one so that it shows on your record as "not at fault." Unfortunately some insurance companies have a practice of simply declaring all parties at fault in parking lot incidents, rather than try to investigate them. The economic reality for the insurer is that that they will be better off if they pay $800 to fix your damage, give you a less favorable rating, and raise your premium.
In situations like this it is sometimes better for each party to fix his own damage, and avoid reporting to insurance companies. It is very difficult to fix blame in parking lot situations.
