...involved in a fender bender (also minor) in which a teen was pulling out of a Starbucks parking lot and hit the front of my car. I was accelerating from a stop sign. She was crying and screaming and I simply exchanged info with a poker face on. When I got home, I mapped out the scene of the accident using MSpaint (took a while...) and wrote up a detailed description of what happened. I faxed it all to my insurance, after talking to them on the phone, and had my car fixed in less than a month. Turned out to be 100% her fault.
I really believe that insurance companies do the best they can to stick it to the other insurance company. It's in their best interest to. They know that accidents happen and that everyone's story is going to be slightly different... if not entirely the opposite!
I suggest you just let the facts speak for themselves*, which from the sounds of it, put the other person 100% at fault.
Also, in MA, you never have to speak with the other person's insurance company. Let your agent/adjuster do all the talking.
Good luck!
Alex
