some places were reported to be charging over $8 for premium.

It's like the gas crunch in the mid '70s.

Lines at gas stations were extending for blocks. Bozos were causing gridlock because they park across traffic lanes to be the next person in the station while people couldn't get out of the stations ... because some bozo was parked across the traffic lanes causing gridlock. And, of course, people are wasting gas idling while they're wating for hours in line to get gas.

At least there's still milk, bread, and TP in the stores here. (Unfortunately not for the people in the Gulf coast.)

That's one of the nice things about having a 900 - large gas tank and 25+ mpg. My wife and I filled up on Tuesday, so we should be able to weather it until the pipelines get flowing to ATL again.
