We liked miles for a long time and still use a United card for my wife's business expenses, but for personal stuff, we use an Amazon card that awards $25 gift certificates per 2,500 points (1 point per dollar, 3 points per dollar spent on Amazon.com). I love it.

I also currently have a zero percent life time loan from my citibank card (I have to keep all my other card paid in full, on time, to keep any interest charges from kicking in, but I moved over $20K from my home equity loan to there... If I screw up, I'll just move it back to the home equity account.

There are deals to be had if you are organized and can keep on top of it. Besides our mortgage and home equity loan, we have no debt.
