For me the choice between the CTS-V and the Aero is easy... 400HP (0 to 60 in 4.6) vs. 230/250hp (0 to 60 in 6.x)! I like to go fast... :) While I will never launch it hard enough to do a 4.6 second 0-60 run, it's darn fast.
With respect to pricing, there are some great deals out there. There's a dealer in DE that's been known to sell new or nearly new V's for the low 40's! I have no first hand buying experience, as I'm buying mine second hand from my dad. He doesn't want a stick shift car anymore.
From a creature feature perspective, I'd give the V the nod... lots more toys, amazing brakes (14" brembos), easy to mod (if you're into that), great NAV system, the beautiful sound of a throaty V-8, and a 6 speed manual, plus all of the personalization features and the litany of reporting info that the car provides.
I'll give a full report when I get it (flying down later this month and driving back).
