I live on the north shore and the street I live on is RAMPANT with speeders. Posted limit is 30 and if you're doing 40 most of the time, drivers are riding your a**. Also, in Boston, try Storrow Drive. Posted limit, depending on where you are on Storrow is 25- 40 (from memory), but if you're driving below 55, you're holding up traffic. Seems like the only time Storrow is enforced is when the city needs revenue.
But back to North Shore, I couldn't get to my driveway a couple of weeks ago because a SUV speeder had rolled a block away from my driveway - straight road, speed limit 35. And a month or 2 before that the brother of the guy who replaced my roof killed someone in an accident on my street.
Now from what I've said, you might think my street is a local highway or something like that, yes? No, it's a 1.5 mile long street that local drivers use to get around the local highway (why? I don't know, since the local hwy is actually faster...)
