Last week i picked up an 85 suburban with a diesel. It looked pretty good in the driveway next to my buddy's 83 MB diesel and will look good next to my dad's 2001 Jetta TDI.
Okay, it's still a suburban, so I guess I'm not a tree hugger yet, but 18-20mpg is a lot better then 11-13.
I did some work today replacing filters and getting to know the motor. All I can say is wow... simple. Not much going on there. Give it fuel and it goes.
I hope to run some Bio this summer!
If you want opinions on VW TDI's email me. I'd be happy to tell you the good and the bad.
