Nope. Both 258 lb-ft. And for the 2.8 having more low end grunt, the 2.3 makes peak torque from 1,900-4,000. I'd be curious to see what each makes at 1,500... can it really be that different?
I'm more inclined to think it's as someone else said, that consumers simply demand a V6, so Saab needs to have one.
I should have guessed that. Having worked in business long enough I've learned that you don't really need to improve your product continually. You only need to improved the consumer's impression of your product. Don't give 'em what they need... give 'em what they think they want.
