Well that's kind of hard to know until we get a further development of more advanced methods of ethanol production. Besides, would it be so bad to import sugar from other countries?

Yes, definitely. It can't be used as an excuse to keep wasting energy in big inefficient SUVs. There must also be a much higher taxation on such vehicles.
