I would go to satellite right now. However, our local channel (NBC affiliate) will not under any circumstances give out a waiver, period. I know people who have paid good money and hired independent people to come in and test signal strength to try to force the local to give them a waiver, but they still won't do it at all. In May, Verizon will have DSL where I live and I am seriously thinking of signing up for that and put up an attenae and live with what I can get.
I have Charter cable and except for the high price, I really can't complain, but they have been sold and the new company is already talking raising the rate. I pay 80 bucks a month now for cable internet (250K) and just expanded basic, it is going to go up to 100 bucks a month from what I hear. I can hear Radio Shack calling my name now.
