Given the choice, I would go back to Satellite

I had Dish Network but the HW for DirectTV was better quality. I really disliked the Comcast cable. Since I moved, I think I would have to cut down some trees to get Satellite now. I currently have Vz FIOS which will supposedly have it's own cable. I will probably try that.
My current TV comes from just a high def digital receiver from Samsung and a $20 antenna. I get about 20 channels, 6 of which are PBS. The regular locals all broadcast in high definition (NE) and it's free. It also has a better picture and sound than cable did (even for standard definition) and works more often. One caveat. When it is really icy or windy or both I can get some multipath and digital blips. I am surrounded by lots of very tall pine trees which affects it.
Sometimes I miss having lots of garbage to fish through but usually I am quite happy to only have about 20 channels. My wife and I find ourselves talking more, or listening to good music and reading more. Quality of life has improved since we ousted Comcast.
