Service records are a bunch of paper and don't by any stretch of the imagination "trump" low miles. 157,000 is a bunch of miles no matter who owned it and how they took care of it. The cheap way out is to continue fixing the C900. Assuming rust isn't an issue-you could keep it running for the next ten years for considserably less than the 9K you'd have in the 9-3, not to mention the fact it too would need periodic maintenance. I recently sold a C900 (with rust issues) and bought a '98 NG900 to go with my '93 C900TC and have no regrets. The later NG900/9-3 is a really fine car and I'd buy it over the Mercedes even if it only had 57,000 miles. My dad's a big MB guy and they're nice cars, but very complex and espensive to work on-and he buys his new.
