...after 14 years of service our washer died. An article in Consumer Reports recommended not to repair it based on its age. After a lot of research we went with a GE front loader and love it. We just replaced the washer and we do the dryer when it dies. The washer that was being replaced was a GE as well so we decided to stick with GE because of the features and our past experience with our previous washer. Make sure to shop around we were able to save big $$$ by comparing several retailers and then having them price match.
