I always try to be strategic regarding parking lots and have been largely successful for many, many years. However, someone just dinged my wife's 10-day old 9-3 Aero. She was parked with the usual care she always uses, but it happened anyway. Luckily, the paint wasn't broken and paintless dent removal took care of the issue. Recently, we were having dinner in an outside cafe of a restaurant. My wife looked over in a panic when she saw a 2-door '80's vintage Cadillac pull into a parking space next to our Porsche. I sprang up and moved the car. The people in the Caddy sat in the car talking for a few minutes and in the meantime, another car pulled into the space that I had hurredly vacated. We watched in horror as the Cadillac's passenger flung open that HUGE, LONG door and then, the passenger not having enough strength to actually open it completely, put her foot at the bottom of the door and really put her leg into it, SLAMMING it into the car that could have been mine. You do what you can, but sometimes things are inevitable.
