I moved to the mid-West from England about 11 years ago and on most levels the people here have been kind, generous, considerate etc, EXCEPT when it comes to what they do in parking lots. I really don't get it. The parking spaces in England are much smaller than in the US but I never got dings in my door there. Now I have them everywhere - despite being very careful where I park.
I'm sure there's a PhD thesis waiting to be written on this. Just last week I saw an unattended shopping cart barrel into the side of a shiny new Nissan Pathfinder - didn't see the culprit unfortunately. At this store though there are cart corrals everywhere - the maximum distance to take a cart back is 30 feet. And most people here would benefit from that little bit of extra exercise.
OK I feel better for that.
