I would not recommend installation in a basement, let alone a basement where you are already having moisture problems. A good way to ruin your house is introduce a source of moisture. That's why bathrooms, by code, must have exhaust fans - to move the excess moisture outside (not really for the odor). If you do decide to install your hot tub indoors, your best bet would be install it in a sun porch, some room that has plenty of operative windows, and can be closed off from the rest of your house by a sturdy weather sealed door. For an added bonus, install what's called an "air to air heat exchanger" also known as a "heat recovery ventilator". These units take moist inside air, exhausts it to the outside. At the same time, brings fresh air from the outside that is passed over the exhausted air (never touches) which equalizes the temperature. Basically you get fresh air with very little heat loss.
