...and this is why I really wish medical questions would be left to the doctors.
'The chance that you permanently damaged anything from the Vitamin C is about zero.' When it happens to you it is 100%. That means ALWAYS be cautious about anything you put in and on your body.
As far as Vitamin C, side effects include but are not limited to the following:
It can affect kidneys. It can lead to stones.
It can give serious diarhea and change ion balances.
In people with G6PD deficiency, it can be deadly with just super low doses.
It is amazing what damage common household and medicine chest things can do. Whenever you wonder if there is an unintentional side effect, contact you doctor immediately and ask if it is safe/recommended/suggested to immediately cut off use of the product.
