I have to hi-jack this.
Years ago I had a small (very small) farm. Had to do the cattle and horses thing. Buddy and I put up the electric fence. One wild heifer would walk through the fence... did not care. I took the fencer apart and out a capacitor discharge ignition system in it, complete with a high performance ignition coil. That would throw very long sparks and would jump insulators. I used to put old burnt out 4' fluorescent lamps around the edge of the field, not connected, just near the fence and they all flickered from the voltage.
So my buddy drives up who knew nothing of these developments. I am not home. He gets out of his car and hears snap, snap, snap.....
He walks over to the electric fence gate to check out the noise, its sunny out and he can't see the spark, zeros in on the post and looks closer and closer, there is wire sticking out... yep, he got zapped in the forehead and did not feel quite right for a while after that.
