The more modern varients, the NG900/OG9-3 and the 9-5 are getting really cheap. The newest C900 is 17 years old! Age rots lotsa' things on any car, parts get harder and harder to get too.
And don't forget the modern safety stuff like dual front airbags, side airbags, and just generally stronger, computer designed cars for tougher safety regulations regulations.
Is this new acquisition gonna' be your dailey driver or just a toy? The NG900/OG9-3 and the 9-5 are pretty nice modern cars, with little with only some of the hard parts GM sources, completely Swedish designed. If you're consisdering an automatic, then it's no contest, the newer ones are darn decent autos that keep even die hard stick fans happy. They have very reliable Aisin Warner 4 speed autos with sport mode. And the newer cars are more reliable too in general too, and parts and service is still very current.
