...buy the new bike, then fight over the warranty, and remind them that you have posted this on TSN, a very popular and well read site. I know I will never buy that brand after this story (my old Raleigh with Russian Titanium is very long in the tooth). The bad press will cost them.
Small claims court for a 2 grand bike seems like a cool option. Remind them that they will need to pay for and send an attorney to your local court, and that will cost money.
Find someone who welds what I am assuming is Titanium or Aluminum. Most likely will need TIG welding.
I feel bad for you, but I also feel like you are being suckered and you are giving up.
I am on your side, and I hope you are able to recoupe some of the 2 grand you lost.
