Many must consider this technology commercially viable -
there's a fairly large company in my small town in northwestern Vermont, who's been selling wind and solar systems for several years, and has just moved into a large modern building with a field of solar cells, and some wind turbines (actually fits into the landscape very nicely...).
They have just spun off a residential company to develop and sell products to homeowners. And a large addition to their building. So they assume this investment will make sense for homeowners...
The commercial company lists products and prices on their website, but the residential company doesn't have products or prices listed yet.
