at least, i think they have the inter-tie thing again. here in washington we have the SNAP program, where you sell to the PUD from solar, etc, on one circuit, and use power direct from original supply, then get a check in the mail every month. you live in NY, right? at 20c per KWH, it won't take forever to get your money back. plus, with a decent battery bank, you have a back-up. but, yes, you need to have it installed by qualified electrician, and work with the PUD (con-ed?). sounds like fun-let us know how it goes/how much it costs? good luck
