If it is simple and you know what to do, fine. If it is complex, I would go to a Saab dealer and fork out the extra $.
My old Saab dealer allowed me to purchase parts myself, and he just charged installation. The dealership was a GM Saturn dealership, not an indi. See what your dealership says before proceeding.
