From the sound of it, you only need equipment that is powered when the key is in the Accessory mode. But some of those devices can pull a lot of power. Again, I'd recommend using a starter-charger hooked up to the car. A trickle charger can't supply enough current. The idea is to have the accessories essentially be driven by the starter-charger.
Of course, Herb brings up some interesting questions about safety. Let's assume the engine isn't running. That would put a strain on the car and any oxygen-breathing organisms. So if the key is in the ignition, and there are folks milling about, you're going to need some way to keep some kid or idiot from starting the car. At a minimum. I'd pull the fuel pump fuse and the fuel injection relay.
Of course, you'd need some way to keep same said kid or idiot from stealing the key as a joke. Or putting the car in neutral and seeing how well it rolls. Herb's offer of information sounds very valuable. I'd also talk to other folks that have displayed cars. Given all the damage idiots can do, I'd think that keeping the battery charged is the least of it.
I suspect that at car shows, those cars have been modified to allow an external system to supply power to just the entertainment electrical bus, and to bypass the normal ignition system entirely.
