Batteries wear out just like tires. they are relatively crude technology. To me, anything over 2 years is a gift.
Buy a digital voltmeter and test the charging rate to make sure it is the battery.....it is usually the battery. I had a Sears Diehard that I paid a lot for leak around the positive terminal and ruin the cable internally. I did not go after Sears, but will never go back to Sears.......I was out of town and stuck, so I went to Sears. I should have changed the battery in PepBoys parking lot!!!
