You have to go to York and check out the Nubble Light. My favorite lighthouse. While you're in York, don't miss the Goldenrod. Home of Goldenrod Kisses (peanut butter and maple walnut are my personal favorites). The best salt-water taffy you will ever eat--bar none. You can watch them make it right there. The whole setup is very nostalgic and quite interesting.
Just north of York is Perkin's Cove in Ogunquit (take 1a--very scenic coastal route). There you can take the "cliff walk" along the shore line--just beautiful. Eat at the Hurricane Restaurant and be sure to get their shrimp coctail. They serve it in a cucumber juice--it's awesome. I believe there's a Hurricane in Kennebunk as well.
