the saab 9-3 and 9-5 were both trollhatten home vehicles from sweden for the lngest time. even the next generation wil be built in russelhein germany on the epsilon 2 platform. this mkes saab more competitive with today's market.
I agree that the 2002-2005 generation of Saab 9-5's seem to be the last of the true saab's (interior, features, parts), but herb hirsh tells the truth with all assembly and majority of parts being euro made.
Just so you know Tammie, i also drive a 2002 Saab 9-5 Aero with 82k miles. i plan on maintaining it indefintely b/c of the same thing you said...it's a great car, love it so much, and feels like a real saab.
BUT, my next car will still be a 9-5..
