I've noticed that from time to time some people have complained that Saab didn't offer a third seat / jump seat in the rear for the 9-5 Wagon, like Volvo does.
A recent tragedy here demonstrated why. A newer Volvo wagon with a family of 5 and a 12 year old girl in the third seat was hit by an Opel Vectra. The girl died, but everyone else survived, including all the occupants of the Opel...
Putting a seat in the deformation zone is just a terrible idea :(
