I loved my '01 9-5 because it was (relatively) light, plenty fast, got 33 hwy (my number) and still ran circles around the BMW 5 series wagon. I had to replace it in 2006 and again in 2008 with new 9-5s. Of course it's a fairly old design, but part of what attracted me back to it was the narrowness- so many cars are SO freakin wide now) still gets decent mpg -though the bump up to 250 hp was unnecessary and damming to the mileage. The LAST thing I want is frigging AWD and a v6, but of course the new 9-5 is allegedly getting AWD, plus a larger body.. bleh. What a bummer. Lotus has the dynamic ideas to make Saab awesome again. If only.
