A recent, related question got me thinking (stop driving a stick if one is older?). My question is a bit different.
If you drive a stick and marry a spouse who doesn't drive a stick, should you:
a. get an automatic
b. teach spouse to drive a stick
c. teach spouse to drive a stick but have the spouse drive an automatic and rarely or never drive the stick
d. don't teach the spouse to drive a stick, keep buying sticks
e. don't teach the spouse to drive a stick, buy an automatic when you are ready to buy another car
a. assumes some financial power to do so
b. is good for anyone; may help in an emergency
c. ?
d. occasionally inconvenient
e. path of least resistance?
