Finding leaks...
Disconnect the hose fitting on the tube from your turbo compressor outlet to the intercooler and put a piece of PVC pipe with a cap and a air compressor fitting in it's place. Connect it to an air compressor set to about 20psi. Pump air into the system (be sure your throttle plate is in the open position) and listen for the whistle. You can also spray a little soapy water on things and look for bubbles. Best DIY way to find leaks in the system that I know of. :-)
BTW, do you listen to Jim Rome on sports radio? He used to own an XR4Ti, says it was a POS, always in the shop. I bet it's a blast if you can keep it running good.
