Perhaps the reason GM is closing so many of the SAAB dealerships is to help themselves in the long run. If there are fewer dealers in any given region people might not be so inclined to travel such a long distance to purchase that car. I would think this creates less competition for GM's other brands especially Cadillac. Why else would they dismantle a dealer network so close to the transfer of ownership of this brand. Just my two cents. Maybe someone with more knowledge has a better perspective on this issue.
