My Turbo-X has AWD and with snows, in Chicago's winter last year, it was unstoppable. 225/50 R17 94 Q.
Tire Rack has all you need -- including just information on how to choose tires, what symbols to look for on your old tires to tell if they are summer or all-season, etc.
If you decide to buy snows, it's often OK if the rims are downsized one size and the tires are one size narrower, but taller (larger aspect ratio). Except my 2008 manual only lists 2.0, V-6 and Turbo-X. If you follow the "V-6" spec., the snows are the same width and aspect ratio, but a different diameter, which I wonder might be a mistake -- V-6 AWD summer tires/rims are the same as the Turbo-X.
Anyway, I have 225/50 R17 94 Q from Tire-Rack on a Turbo-X, which can be bought online and installed locally. I bought rims (had to, different size) but if you're going to store the tires, why not buy rims too and keep the snows mounted?
If you have 'regular' brakes, you have more choices than the Turbo-X which has larger front rotors.
