Techron is an additive; out west, Chevron (formerly Standard Oil of California) gas comes with it as part of their additive package. Shell probably has something similar, as do most other major brands.
My understanding is that the tanker trucks get loaded up with XXXX gallons of gasoline at the terminal, then they add some of the various brands' additive packages before delivery to the retail outlet.
