Most Mastercards double the manufacturer's warranty up to an additional one year. So if the refurb carries a 90 day warranty, the Mastercard will cover an additional 90 days. If anyone has never entered a claim through mastercards warranty protection, let me be the first to tell you that the process is very simple and I've had success getting a full refund on a laptop that failed one month out of the original maufacturer's warranty. Anytime I buy expensive electronics, I use a Mastercard branded credit card to get a "free" extended warranty. Highly recommend!
