Go for the 2006 9-3. I've owned every model Saab has made after 1989 up to 2003. The 2008 95 drives like the old 9000 so if you like the ride of the older 95's save a lot of money and buy an old 9000. When the tranny dies on it, junk it. The best 9000 ever made was the 1991 aero models (with hatchback and 16" aero rims). You can find one for $1000 to $2000 on ebay. Mine went 250,000 miles. But if you want to really smile everyday you drive to work, then buy the 2006 9-3. You can really feel the $600 million invested by GM in this model. The car's platform was built by Saab and GM in collabaration. It's got good bits from around the globe. A German ecotech engine, a Japanese tranny, and Sweden's artful design ques. Welcome to the club.
